The Yaoundé club came in first after having won a total of 34 medals, 11 in gold, 13 in silver and 10 in bronze
The curtain closed on Saturday, July 09, on the 2016 edition of the Cameroon Cup of Athletics whose finals are disputed at Omnisport stadium in Limbe in the Southwest region. These finals were completed with the final victory for the Armed Forces and Police Club (Fap), which won a total of 34 medals, 11 gold, 13 silver and 10 bronze.
With this victory, the club achieves the double for this season after winning, a few months ago, the national championships.
Cameroonsport and its 12 medals, three gold, four silver and five bronze were ranked second.
According to the president of the Cameroonian Athletics Federation, Motomby Mbome, an awards gala will be organized this weekend at the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (Cnosc) to reward the best athletes of the season.
We are already thinking of Takougoum Billy, Mayack II, Abessolo Bivina, Oumarou Mohamadou and Nzossie Hervé who distinguished themselves at the Cameroon Cup finals. Each deferred a gold medal. Others who have broken their own record will also be rewarded.
